Jordans Picture House was created in the summer of 2016 on a 3 months trial basis by a Working Group of five village residents with a shared interest in cinema and a commitment to community activities. Following the hugely successful first season we formalised ourselves into a properly constituted Society with a Committee, headed by our Chairman Alan Sealy whose tireless enthusiasm has driven this forward from the start. Since then we have welcomed two further persons to our team (Charlotte and Dee). Sadly however we have lost two stalwarts from the committee: David Wooster due to pressure of work and family commitments and Alan Sonnex through retirement at our AGM in June 2019 - they were both key founders of JPH and we are hugely grateful for their contribution. We are also fortunate to have the invaluable support of numerous others who assist us with setup and dismantling before and after screenings, running the bar, technical input and front of house activities. Thank you to all of them, and of course enormous thanks to all those in our audience without whom JPH would not exist!
