Welcome to Jordans Picture House
Welcome to Jordans Picture House

Community Cinema in Jordans Village

Our programme

We show films on the second Friday of each month from  October to May inclusive. Doors open at 7:15pm with the performance commencing at 8:00pm. We also run several matinees on Sundays, when we tend to show thought-provoking documentaries and special interest films or sometimes, lighter family entertainment. For these, doors open at 3:15pm with the film starting at 4:00pm. Please see the Programme page for more details.

We aim to show a wide variety of films in order to cater for all tastes, including mainstream titles that may have been missed, classics, documentaries and foreign films. These are selected by consultation with our Members prior to each season.

Our programme is then finalised by the Committee and those screenings are made available for booking either through this website or via our local Box Offices.

We now have a Hearing Loop!

And there's no online booking fee!

Our 2018-19 season is off to a flying start!

We launched with "The Greatest Showman". With its spectacular flying trapeze scenes and stomping music, no wonder it was a sell-out!

And our special events for the Armistice Centenary weekend  were immensely moving and thought-provoking.

Tickets for the rest of our programme right through to June 2019 can now be purchased here on the Programme & Buying Tickets page. Or you can use our local Box Offices in either Jordans or Seer Green.

Our Award!

We were thrilled and proud to be given a Commendation for the "Best New Society" annual award by our umbrella organisation "Cinema For All", whose support and advice has been absolutely invaluable, especially during our early days. We could not have achieved this without the wonderful support of our audience and team of trusty volunteers - enormous thanks - this award is for all of us!

We would like to acknowledge the invaluable advice and support given to us firstly by Cinema For All in our setting-up phase, including the hire of projection equipment. We were then delighted to receive an equipment grant from the BFI (British Film Institute) Neighbourhood Cinema Fund after only our first season.

A big thank you to both organisations!
