Welcome to Jordans Picture House
Welcome to Jordans Picture House

Community Cinema in Jordans Village

We've now completed a very special event to round off our 2021-22 season - a fundraiser screening of "Mr Jones" (15) on June 18th in support of local efforts to accommodate and care for the growing number of Ukrainian refugees coming to our area, organised by the charity "Better Connected Beaconsfield" who are responsible for this work. We're extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to the sum of nearly £1,500 that we raised through this event. And the other big news is that following the voting by our Members we've now finalised our very exciting programme for next season and we're open for bookings! Please see the Programme and Buying Tickets page for further details. Finally we'd just like to say that we're really grateful for the support that been shown since we re-opened in September and for the generous donations that have been given, helping to restore our financial reserves after the 18 months of closure during lockdown. Let's hope normality will continue its return.

Under Government guidance, the wearing of masks is no longer mandatory in cinemas as from Thursday 27th January, and is optional.

Please note that we are now "cashless" at our bar and for ticket purchases at the check-in desk - payment is by card only.

Our programme

We show films on the second Friday of each month and some Tuesdays and Saturdays from September to May. Doors open at 7:15pm with the programme commencing at 8:00pm.

We also run several matinees on Sundays, when we show foreign language films, documentaries or lighter family entertainment. For these, doors open at 3:15pm and the programme commences at 4:00pm.

Please see the Programme page for more details.

Our Awards!

We were thrilled and proud to win our latest award: Best Single Event at Cinema For All's annual conference in  September 2019.

Our submission was based on our weekend screenings in November 2018 commemorating the centenary of the WW1 Armistice, during which we showed "Journey's End" and "War Horse", enhanced by songs, readings, displays of memorabilia and greeting of the audience by John, a Welsh cob similar to the hundreds of thousands of horses sent to the battlefields. See our News and Gallery pages for more information and photos.

We aim to show a wide variety of films in order to cater for all tastes, including mainstream titles that may have been missed, classics, documentaries and foreign films.

These are selected by consultation with our Members prior to each season.

Our programme is then finalised by the Committee and those screenings are made available for booking either through this website or via our local Box Offices.
