Community Cinema in Jordans Village

We're into the last part of our 8th season!

Details of all our screenings are shown on the "Programme & Buying Tickets" page and on our booking system, "TicketSource". Our eighth season is coming to a close, with just a couple of screenings left now and we will round it off with our AGM on Friday 10th May.                  Following the voting by our Members for next season's films, plans are well under way and the new programme will be announced in due course. Watch this space!                                                                                      We're very grateful for the support and the appreciative comments about our screenings which - as we say in our introductory film each time - are not just about film, but are community events, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Please note that we are now "cashless" at our bar and for ticket purchases at the check-in desk - payment is by card only.

Our programme

We show films on the second Friday and third Tuesday of each month from September to May. Doors open at 7:15pm with the programme commencing at 8:00pm.

We also run several matinees on Sundays when we show foreign language films, or documentaries or lighter family entertainment. For these, doors open at 3:15pm and the programme commences at 4:00pm.

Please see the Programme page for more details.

Our Awards!

We were thrilled and proud to win our third award: Best Single Event at Cinema For All's annual conference in  September 2019.

Our submission was based on our weekend screenings in November 2018 commemorating the centenary of the WW1 Armistice, during which we showed "Journey's End" and "War Horse", enhanced by songs, readings, displays of memorabilia and greeting of the audience by John, a Welsh cob similar to the hundreds of thousands of horses sent to the battlefields. See our News and Gallery pages for more information and photos.

Variety

We aim to show a wide variety of films in order to cater for all tastes, including mainstream titles that may have been missed, classics, documentaries and foreign films.

These are selected by consultation with our Members prior to each season.

Our programme is then finalised by the Committee and those screenings are made available for booking either through this website or via our local Box Offices.
